There r 2 kinds of criticism.
1) constructive
2) destructive.
Getting constructive criticism is great. Eventually it starts becoming destructive if u use the same words/expression. Listen to ppl around u, it may help someone's heart. Some ppl just can't take any kind of criticism whether it is good for them or not.

I most heartily agree. I am the co-founder of a writers club, and we specialize in constructive critique......everyone in the club just loves it. We usually read out a piece, and everyone gets to make little writings and/or comments on a printed copy.....it is very helpful, and we all understand that the most important thing about writing is that the writer enjoys it, and if all you can think about is what people are going to say, you won't enjoy writing much. We also understand that the final word rests with the author.....if they love it, then it is perfect for their story, we can ask about twice and try to argue a certain point, but no extensive pressuring is allowed.
